I had copied another person's post, with permission, about the UN Rights of the Child. It was rather long. I will instead link you all to the petition site. Please take a moment to read over it and sign. This is a slippery slope that we should not start down!!!!

I read the long post a few moments ago and did further research with HSLDA. As of Feb 2009, "this treaty has never been sent to the U.S. Senate for ratification."

So, there is still time to call your senator and let him know your opinion, but who knows when this beast will come about. The convention met in 1998 and 1999... though I do realize that this current administration would of course want to continue the work laid by Hillary in those days. Now may be the best time to get involved!

Post Script - The man mentioned in the link I gave you, David Ogden, was indeed confirmed (on March 12, 2009) to the position of US deputy attorney general.
