Isabella asked me to cut her hair the other night. I was very tired, but I agreed earlier that day to do so. I get a bit nervous cutting the kids hair as they get older. When they are 5? Who cares if you mess up! They won't even know if you did. But at 15? Oh my. That is a different story. Not that I have messed up, but still. Isabella prefers her hair short. I don't mind, it's her hair :-) The only issue is that her hair has some curl to it, and you can never quite tell how it is going to respond. We were outside today so I thought I would get a few pictures of her. The first one is a 'before' picture.

You did a nice job! I find it scary, too. Even at five. :) haha. But a note for wavy and curly hair - cut it dry and cut it curl by curl. The hair goes the way it wants to so it's best to work with it. I often trim my own hair and curl by curl works the best. For a curl you cut at the bottom of the "c" but for wavy just try to make each wave complete (not in the middle of a curve, that is) and it won't have any funny "sticking out" points. If you are cutting a lot of length, cut it a little longer and then let it dry and do your follow up.
Looks like yours turned out, though. I'd much rather work with wavy hair, it's more forgiving. I just chopped off my 8 yr old's hair and it looks cute, but every little mistake is obvious!!
How adorable!!!
Great work!
